Black and White

I don't know how to tell you this But the world isn't black and white Look around, it's a world of colors And i'm starting to see them tonight Nobody sees it in quite the same way But the world has shades of gray I thought i knew how to handle this But you don't see the greens or reds And i'm seeing now in technicolor From mountains to the thinnest threads I don't know if you see it like me But I've seen another way to be At some point i think i'll get it right But not if i do things like you Look around at this world of colors If you really tried, you might see the hue My eyes are a mix of blue and gray No, nobody sees things the same way It's funny, the reality you live in So simple... and yet so wrong The world has never been black and white Television merely strung us along I don't know why it's become a fight The world has never been black and white
