Black and Blue

Black and blue As a stained checker board. Pained Like a stretched cord. Enough Stop pulling on me. Let it go, Leave it be. The board creaks and cracks, Color, it lacks. On the ground, it smashes to pieces. All the tension it releases. The cord snaps in two, Releasing what you put it through. This pain is really nothing new, But it's what is due.
