Black

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Black
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan

black!
           black!
                      black!

my skin is black
          my talk is black
my walk is black
          my swag is black -

everything I do
          I do it black -

black!
           black!
                       black!

my family is black
          my church is black
my name is black -

          I'll die black,

and
            if
I
             come back,

I pray
              that
I'm black -

                proud to be
who I am -

                 black!
                         black!
                                 black!

              a black man -
