Blabber Mouth Black and Blues

If I don't turn around and leave this place
I'll surely explode and punch you in the face
You have no clue it's manure you spread
I'm feeling so angry I'm seeing red

Like a Chinese torture words drip on my head
You blabber so much I wish you were dead
The words you say are like nails in my brain
Piercing it over and over again

I hang my head down looking at my shoes
You have the power so I sing the blues
If only you'd stop things might be okay
Yet you keep going on day after day

What are you thinking as you talk and talk
I need to get away go out for a walk
If I do not you're in for a surprise
It's hard to see out of two blackened eyes

My poetry soup friends, do not worry I am not in a bad place.
Thinking back to being a kid and wishing I wasn't powerless.

Don't address the evil it only talks back. It cannot respond when attention it lacks.

We may all have some of these emotions buried deep and from it we rise above it all with greater understanding and intolerance for abusers, which makes them powerless. Amazed and thankful that you shared this so eloquently.I wrote one similar many years ago, I may have to post it now

I'm surprised by the outpouring for this poem, I didn't think it was particularly very good but it seems to resonate with people. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.

There is a sad kind of desperation in children who are bullied and feel helpless to stop it, but it builds a quiet gentle strength in the man especially when he can look back and say "I forgive them" Well done my friend.

In life everyone gets bullied one time or another..Sometimes in childhood..In relationships..At work..Anywhere..So just knowing you were not the only one ..hope it helps.Yes sometimes we look back and wish we could have acted diffrently but be blessed you didn t.Believe me..the bully will always end up into nothingness in the end whilst what the bully might have done to you in the past made you who you are today.A tolerant person yet powerful in many ways.I love your poems..they feel so real

Thanks Charmaine, my bully was my father, fortunately before he died he excepted Christ. So in the end all things are used for good.

Oh....Richard....how could he???? Call on the Warrior Princess....she will avenge.....Heartfelt write....I'm so glad that you have overcome through grace and don't play the victim...Power is now yours. Be free....be happy....You have turned out supremely well. Your Heavenly Father was there all the time...As the sinful person that I am...it's so hard not to want to track him down and give him a piece of my mind Xena mode on.....But....Jesus loves him too.....Let HIM be the Judge....Hugs

That's cool. I worked with a guy sorta like that. He lied so much to try to build himself up in others eyes.

Ooooooo dark memories here Rick. I had a few scraps and scrapes myself, one day the big school bully turned his attention on me, but he didn't reckon on my speed and agility, yes, I soon out ran him hahaha. Take care, Richard
