Bittersweet the Memory

I can still hear your voice
in the silence that surrounds me.
     It echoes through my mind
        like wind through the trees.
     Lingering in the memories
        that haunt my fading dreams.
     Reminding me of feelings
         I've long since tucked away.

A very poignant verse, Sheri, I can feel the emotions of sweet sorrow. Nicely penned my friend. It’s been a while since I’ve read your work, nice to see you again. John

Thankyou John I just haven't been able to write since my mom passed It's been a long road finding my life now after 7 years as her caretaker and constant companion. I still am a bit aimless but am starting to enjoy drawing. Ty
