Bittersweet

To be lost in deep thought.
Bestows a wicked reminiscence upon my mind.
A consistency of lost loves.
Moments released in the wind
and buried beneath the morning dew.
A new day has awakened.
Yesterday's moments to wander
aimlessly forever more.
In dreams and records.
Vivid published imagery.
All intangible to the realities of time.
Only tangible to the mental sense
and sense of touch.
But never again tangible to experience.
Reaching out to grasp the past
with intentions of reliving experiences.
The revival of deceased occurrences.
Yearned like an embryo excited
to experience their birth of life.
Yearned like the feeling of a first kiss.
Yearned like the spirit who's destined for heaven.
The memories we hold close
because in the end that is all that remains.
A concept truly bittersweet.
The sweet taste of bitterness
everlasting on the tip of your tongue.
Savor the tasteful misery.
