Bittersweet
They walk into the candy store down the street
Linda and her sitter, both wanting something sweet
To eat
Linda is five and blond and petit
Her sitter, Angel is exactly five feet
Linda thinks Angel is neat
Linda reaches for a Hershey's bar
Angel's eye on her, she doesn't let her get far
Laughing, har de har har
Angel searches for chocolate with a bite
She diligently keeps Linda in sight
Somethings are worth protecting with all your might
Linda is the light
Angel knows right
And teaches Linda to avoid the wrong fight
Angel finds the kind she was looking for
Dark and rich and smooth enough to pour
Linda doesn't like this type, so Angel will have more
Sharing is fine
But sometimes its all mine
Is the best line
Back outside Linda smells the pine
Angel reads the road sign
In a couple of hours it will be time to dine
