Bitterness

By all means, forget how to be bitter, For bitterness will eat your innards out Make you as unpalatable as kitty litter, And turn you into a disagreeable pout-- Destroy it … if you ever want any clout!

Bearing grudges makes you twisted and bitter, better to draw a line under it and move on or it will as you say ending up consuming you. Tom

You are so right, Tom. Jerry Lewis is an example that comes to my mind. He brought such joy to millions and yet died a bitter, old man.
