Birthday Wishes

Is this a new day?
A time I anxiously hoped for?
Or, a day I had forgotten would definitely come?
Smiling clouds are hovering in the skies
Rain begin to fall in slight showers
Birds appear to sing songs of joy and happiness
The cake, the assorted drinks, the barbecue suggest
This day is a gift from my Maker
Church bells would ring over and over
It’s a Sunday
Five days from my birthday
Everyone around me would wish me
The very best of luck in life.
