Birthday Greeting To My Late Son

Birthday Greetings

When I think of you
I forget and think you are here
The tears keep coming,
Day to day, month to month
Year to year

I want you now
More than ever
The ache in my heart is like
A very high fever

Today is your birthday
And since you went away
My heart has hardened
Like old hard clay

Happy Birthday my dear late son
I’m not too sure
Who has really won?
I just know
You will forever be gone
