Birthday
Yesterday repeat again the time when I was born
And I before the mirror came and stood
And saw nothing to make the young heart forlorn
Just another day, another year gone for good
But the sky is blue the same
And the jasmine still brings memories
And the poincianna still aflame
Tell of deep, deep, unknown histories
That I am here and she is there
And the sun is strewn carelessly everywhere
