Birth of Me

The old year at last is flying away On the wings of winter out of vision Taking me to the frail horizon gray Where the cold sun sinks in oblivion. I tried hard all the time to invent me Mean days hurried past, leaving me stranded Hope of life taking shape I didn’t see I’m glad journey of old year has ended. I wait for the sun of new year to rise Step out of failed shadow into the shine Search a potent ground for I’ve become wise Sow the promise of a new life of mine. From the old year I didn’t get my worth In the new year a new me will take birth. December 24, 2017. Contest : New Year 2018. Sponsor : Kim Rodrigues.
