Every birth
A time of hope
And promise
Reconfiguration
Of the family circle
Every death
A final fulfilment
Even prematurely
Giving pause
For reflection
On life
As time stands still
One birth
Bearing
The seeds of salvation
Signifying
Temporal tragedy
And eternal hope
One death
True completion
Offering
Redemption
Behind
The cruelty of man
With its pain
And torment
Masking
The divine message
We must give
To receive
