Birdsong

Birdsong
I want to hear you sing again
Your song I miss
That smooth refrain
Too out of reach
You're way up high
As distant as the Summer sky
In moments of my solitude
You fly away
If e'r pursued
So here I sit
To close my eyes
Let the present moment rise
And meet you there
In cloudless skies
The song that no true heart denies.
