Birds and Bees
T he birds are singing merrily
H ummers sipping happily
E veryone is busy as can be.
B irds nesting in the apple trees
I n magnolia and in cherry trees
R aising babies is the game
D oing what comes naturally.
S wallows nest on porch again.
A ll the mamas on the nests
N ow each male does what he does best
D awdling and puffing up his chest.
T rees are full of happy sound
H unting treasures in the ground
E nglish sparrows are around.
B umble bees mid flowering trees
E very flower is there to please
E nter now a gentle breeze
S ummer sweetness for the bees.
