Birds and Bees

A young man dropped to his knees
His fiance' he wanted to please
Six strong men carried him away
His epitaph was reported to say
He was ignorant of the birds and the bees

Here's an epitaph that I heard in the 9th grade during a Civil War lecture.( I had insanely insane teachers...)..Born a virgin,,,died a harlot...for forty years she kept her virginity.....that's a mighty long time in this vicinity!!!....Tho't you'd like that one, Curtis. I struck out in the burlesque limerick arena...I just don't feel it...(I might need some happy pills!) ugh....Love, Gwendolen

Thanks! I'll need lots of luck from the looks of things. I'm not even getting an occasional HM on some of the poems I've recently posted. Maybe my luck will soon change.

I never have figured out why they refer to love and the by-product of it. I think it stems from the shame of discussing things that used to be considered taboo and being able to have it make sense. I learned all that I know by trial and error -- at 69 years of age, I'm still learning.
