Bird I Did Not Expect

I had a black and white kitchen
It was not me, I wanted color
But I had relented to a man’s whim

I visited my girlfriend’s home
She had no man
She had color here, there, hither and yon

I got rid of the man
and the kitchen
And colorized my home

Best move ever

Caren, I think perhaps you pasted the wrong poem here. I believe this one is 'I Wanted Some Color. If it was intentional, my apologies for failing to understand.
