Good one that describes the Birch Tree so very well..One of my favorite trees because it has character..Your presence at my work was like a ray of sunshine on a dark cloudy cold winter day.Sara

Three great writings in three languages. Birch bark is also used to make soft drinks that taste similar to root beer. The Pennsylvania Dutch who live near me are known for their birch beer.

I used to find the way home at night by following the silver birch trees along the path, nicely written.

Even in the moonlit night on the banks of streams these trees are recognizable from a distance. Always interesting Gert. Thanks for sharing these exquisite paintings of nature at its best with us. Always, Annalise And thanks for reading my humble poems and leaving encouraging comments for me. : )

There is no tree with a more beautiful bark than the birch, Gert. We don't have them in Florida, but they are plentiful in New England and northern areas of the country. You describe them so well! Love, Carolyn
