Bipolar Ocean

THE BIPOLAR OCEAN

My emotions are like waves in the ocean.
They start out calm and serene.
Smooth sailing and bright sunshine.
Miles of beautiful ocean in between.

Relax my mind and enjoy the day.
I let my troubles and cares slip away.
I deserve to have the peacefulness.
My mind deserves the quiet rest.

Some days there are small ripples.
A few bumps that slow the way.
But nevertheless I try my best,
to be positive towards the day.

Some days the waves come crashing in.
It's a fight to stay topside.
I struggle staying positive,
and tears I'm forced to hide.

But I must remember those waves will calm
and things will be smooth once again.
So I keep myself calm and keep keeping on,
and pace myself till the days end.

Then there are days with the hurricane winds.
Blowing me every which way.
I get so spun around, I'm confused and feel down.
It's going to be a rough day.

The waves are angry and being mean.
They're pushing me around.
But I'll plant my feet and hold on tight.
Rest assured I'll stand my ground.

I gather my strength and my courage.
I will defeat the storm with my will and might.
Because I know it will be calm again,
With tomorrow comes new light.

You're up, you're down
you're high, you're low
you're spun around,
Which way to go?
You're happy, You're sad
You're angry, you're glad.
You're completely confused,
oh no!

The trip is not an easy one.
It's a roller coaster that's very long.
So when you set out on the bipolar ocean.
Make sure your boat is sturdy and strong.
