Billy

Billy Saturday night in another winter, The time was 8:00, and I remember, Icicles were hanging from the dormer windows, Arc lights wore halos as I waited for you. My new red dress was wrinkling, As were the corners of my fretting eyes. Tears were forming tho to no surprise, The phone rang, you were kind but gone. Arc lights wore halos as I waited for you.

This makes me want to hug you! I guess a virtual hug will have to do. Very well penned and invokes feelings like good poetry should!! Well done!......pat

Somehow quaint and wholly painfully impacting in the same breath. Excellent piece of poetry! xomo
