Image by Mark Toney using Canva Pro. —For the first time in over 200 years, two large cicada broods in the U.S. have emerged from the ground nearly simultaneously. The numbers are estimated to be in the billions to trillions. The ones I can hear from my back door sound like a hundred flying saucers hovering. “The Truth Is Out There.” BTW- They say cicadas are perfectly safe for pets – and humans – to eat as long as they haven’t been sprayed with pesticides or have a fungal infection. You first! :)
