Billion Shooting Stars

I just saw a photo that raised the beat of my heart

Like seeing a galaxy of a billion shooting stars

I just saw a photo of you.

Though I'm feeling stressed and my burdens are weighing me down

Your smiling face pulled me out of the gloom

I had to stop to turn life off for a while

So that I could cherish the soft light of you in full bloom

It's amazing how that photo of you on our wedding day just recaptured my heart

And decades later made me realise how much I love you.
