Impressive resume ensuring future lives that their consumption of foods will naught only be nutritious, but that they can set their minds at ease for their foods will be free of harm. Wondrous write indeed, Sigrid. I was the 35th person to enter, thought I give it a try--didn't think I'll place since it was a last minute rush job, still I am glad for your righteous 2nd Place win, stay well and safe my friend, Aloha! Sigrid, I've learned to not try to find rhyme or reason in contest placements or POTD's. I just enjoy the ride and the friendships that come out of it. Inwardly we know which poems required significant craftsmanship, and we can take personal pride in them regardless of the accolades. Just keep writing, you're doing great. And thank you for YOUR time. Enjoy your day.

Thank you for your time, John. In honesty, I had seen at least several very neatly metered poems, which take a lot more work than this. Nice, but strange second!

Hello Sigrid ... working with nature, not against it is the way we as humans should be working on, but of course greed is the common curse. Your verse, has so much common sense in it, but sadly, common sense is not common anymore - thank you Sigrid - Lindsay

Thank you for taking time here, Lindsay. For this contest, really had to leave real possibility. Cost would be outrageous, unless big costs like military and housing prisoners could be reduced. (which long term I think could, both are defence)

Good thought has gone into this work. Yes, much that goes to the grocery store ends in the landfill and could be used to compost and then fertilize a garden but how to get it to where it is needed is the question. We garden but we can't feed ourselves with all we need but my husband has provided tomatoes and watermelon for several families this summer. Thanks for the visit to my page. This one reads like a good contender for the contest. Sara

Thank you so much, Sara. Yes, surely there are flaws. Plan is as massive as colonising Mars to resemble Earth. It's super good you had ample crops!
