Big and Fat

you can appreciate the admirable orange cat
rolling over in the golden sunlight big and fat
she has never caught one iota of a mouse
irritable as she emits ownership of the house
she can engineer excellent order with ease
there is no doubt she is the one to please 
while the kink of her tail circles the iris pot
she shows beauty, but generous, she is not
don’t knock it, it is costly but not absurd
for a kindly man to own a cat so rude

My sister has a calico named Frida and she is a princess. Very stuck up but beautiful.

Love cat poems! This is very cute, and true of cats. Dogs have owners...while cats have staff.

But it IS absurd (so says the 33 year old who remembers his sister's cat eating his hamster a quarter century ago). Phenomena poem, I really enjoyed it despite the PTSD it caused to swell inside me
