Beyond the Waves(Poem#7-High School Years)

It was once a proud land Where Roman, Greek, Egyptian architect loomed Many golden beaches of sand Now this land is full of gloom But proud it was, and proud it is This island beneath the waves As the tides, made the citizens cry And throw their hands to the sky But nothing met those last breaths Save for salty water and death Now at the bottom of the ocean it lies Where many a hope dies Of ever finding a clue For the facts could never stick like glue It has been sought, fought by many But it had never been found This island below the ground And now its days are full of Mantis This island, of lost Atlantis
