a soft grey curtain dangles before the shining light a sparkling film that splits the here from what lies beyond the common sight a place of whisper where the faintest fear finds no shrine we stroll this world on slightly solid, secular known ground our hands can touch the wood the concrete and the cooling stone yet something deep within us makes no sound but strives to know what waits to be made known yonder, outside it is a realm beyond where sunlight never fades where silence deep resides boundless peace sparkles sordid stress and strains take flight bliss steps in their place the breath we inhale seems thinner than it was before the air itself begins to change responding to some unseen unknown, invisible force that shifts the world beyond our easy range perhaps the cherished ones who have parted before come around to visit us concealed to mortal eyes watching us wander wearily toward that distant door beyond the arch of familiar skies we only feel the tug the gentle pull the yearning for a truth that stays screened, secret a promise whispered beautiful, but uncertain of distant worlds the present has not yet revealed.
