Notes About The Poem

Beyond Mind

We do now see why our elders did sigh,
when called upon to share their inner light,
for unless feral cravings, we decry,
awakens not divine spherical sight.

There is no way to portray bliss tingle,
borne of silent, cascading bliss thunder,
or describe how bliss pheromones mingle,
as childlike presence looks on in wonder!

Perplexed are souls, when we request silence,
in as cessation of turbid thought flow;
far cry seems rekindling heart’s innocence,
since fleeting desires, unendingly grow.

In midst of hectic mind games violent,
no wonder Buddha chose to be silent.
