I don't want a gift this Christmas, dear Santa.
You've given me more than enough, and I'm grateful.
I'm satisfied with all that I have now
I don't need an electronic gadget, or jewelry,
or an article of clothing. I expect nothing
from you as I have most of the things I need.
Instead, do me a favor, Santa. Pray with me
for the safety, health and prosperity of
homeless folks as they bare the brunt...
of hardship this holiday season.
Most of them smile through their struggles;
and wear a mask to hide the pain written...
on their faces. Pray with me that God
gives them the gift of compassion.
Pray with me that they always have food...
to eat and a cozy place to sleep
this winter. May their lives be filled
with hope and God's love.
