Better Than Gold

I may never be wealthy,
I may never have fame,
I may never travel,
Or own my own plane.

I may never see sunsets,
In far away places,
Or meet famous people,
Or learn courtly graces;

But I have seen sunsets,
Unmatched by the others,
And the people I have met,
Are my sisters and brothers.

The wealth that I have,
Is neither silver or golden,
But one thing is sure,
It can never be stolen.

"THE RICH AND THE POOR ARE ALIKE BEFORE THE LORD WHO MADE THEM ALL."
                                                                                                     Proverbs 22:2

"I SPEAK NOT FROM WANT FOR I HAVE LEARNED TO BE CONTENT IN WHATSOEVER CIRCUMSTANCES I AM."
                                  Philippians 4:11

Great, wonderful write Judy, I really enjoyed this poem immensely! It is so very true, the "wealth" that one can have cannot be stolen! Sunsets are beautiful no matter where we are in the World, though they may be different! Magnificent poem Judy, I'm glad I stopped by! Awesome Work!!
