Better Life

In the Ghetto a man is born
in the ghetto a man grows
eventually, a man dies...
buried and forgotten...in the Ghetto
how long shall will live like this?

No food...!...No water!
at war against hunger & starvation
but our hands are tied
...how can we win this fight?
Government never heeds our call
hand to mouth kind of life
what about tomorrow?

They say education is the key
but i wonder where the doors at???
Graduate cum vendor
Proffessor...tyre mender!!!
unemployment rate....sky-high!
how bright is the future?

No jobs for the youths
city life too harsh & demanding
...so how can man survive?
final resolution...crime!
final destination...Jail!
for most...thats jus the end of the story
...and the cycle continues!

New industry setup...the church!
salvation is for sell
how can a poor man be saved?
a penny for a blessing
how much can a brighter future cost?

so much talent in the ghetto
music, art...and sport
but no one seems to apprecate us much
...we are from the ghetto!
with those at the top stamping on our feet
how can we climb up the ladder?

Tired of the suffering
Man cannot live forever like this
this aint no war...this aint no diss
man must unite and fight for...
...A BETTER LIFE!
