Better Late Than Never

Did I get that much older Or did he somehow get younger Maybe the answer is buried somewhere in between.  Grandad to my children Forevermore dad to me I see him now in a way I had never seen.  Has he become more tolerant Or I much more sedate We now listen to listen to what the other has to say I spent my youth in battles  But have come to realize  All conversation is not a familial battle play.  I wanted what other families had A dad who was always there Ignoring his depth of personal sacrifice He was thankful for the job he had  Worked morning noon and night He showed his deep undying love To give his family a better life
