Better in Memory
She was such a lovely person.
She never judged, and was always helpful.
She kept her composure when I couldn’t.
She never snapped, never got angry.
But now I know.
I know what was said behind my back.
I always thought she was so kind.
She trusted me with her secrets so I trusted her with mine.
With my secrets she fled.
She spread them like the plague.
I wished for them back,
I sat there and I begged.
I always thought she was my best friend,
Now I’m not surprised it came to an end.
But thank you anyway,
You kept me busy and kept me feeling alive.
Just know, nobody laughs at my jokes like you did.
