Better Days

Better days are just ahead,
I see them coming now.
Just stick close to your maker, And I promise,
You’ll make it through somehow.

Just go to bed tonight and sleep,
Sleep sound til early morn.
The sun will wake you through your window,
And your smiles will replace your scorn.

Just close your eyes and rest your mind,
It will all be better tomorrow.
Just hold your head up, and smile a bit,
And joy will replace your sorrow.

Better days are here already.
The darkest part’s before the dawn.
Replace those tears with tears of joy,
For your suffering is almost gone.
