Betrayed By One of Life's Joys
Once ignorant and having an ascetic lifestyle, far from the reach of the binding grip of love. Until one fresh summer Wednesday, I met the one who would not only imprison me, but also abandon me in my lonely and pitiful agony. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen with gorgeous brown eyes and a smile that I would do anything for to see. Every word, filled with her euphonious voice, eradicated every bit of sense in me and made me the most gullible person alive. Unaware of my heart’s autonomous behavior, I fell in love. Without any consent of mine, my heart plunged me into a breathtaking paradise, where the impossible suddenly seemed possible, but it would all soon prove to be an illusion, a deep, dark abyss from which I would never return again, not even to see a glimpse of light. I was betrayed by the one that I cannot live without. She escaped with a thief and along with her, my heart. True love is a life sentence and I was the only one convicted.
