Betrayed
My body began to tremble
As I lie on this cold floor
The echo of my cries, you chose to ignore
Tears begin to stream as the marks start to appear
Grabbing this pill bottle,
I mustn’t live in fear.
You are supposed to shield me, my shelter from the storm
But instead you cripple me as these bruises start to form.
I can’t run from my problem, it will only get worse.
I must swallow these pills before you get to me first.
My breath is getting shallow
My vision begins to fade
These are my last words for you
My love has been betrayed.
