But I steadfastly believe the hurt is lessened when there is a friend like you to stand up for the underdog. Remember what I said about water off a duck's back! Be the duck my friend. Dont let anything dampen your spirit. Your poem is thought provoking. Best wishes,,,, Wen

Ty, Wen. Ducks have oily feathers that repel water, so when water comes into contact with them, it simply rolls off, a natural shield. Virtually we must obey rules, we must resist the high stakes of hurting others with words, just like home~ I've learned my lessons and have some answers as well. Wishing you happiness and a soaring muse! A freind indeed~ virtual xhugs

Betrayal cuts like a knife, in the back and through the heart. You did this very well Anaya, I'm sorry you know this pain, but as you so artfully wrote, betrayal spares no one.

Anaya, Hopefully we can all avoid this kind of hurt. However, that's probably not possible. People go their separate ways at times. This makes me think of all the different forms of betrayal and there are many indeed. Some of it might involve not sticking up for someone if it places us in jeopardy. I might be able to think of many examples. It's a painful subject that tests our ability to forgive.

One as dreadful as another one, i left it open for the audience to decide which one are you, the betrayed or the betrayer! Thank you, for being part of my poetry life, your a good friend no matter ~ (Giggling)
