Betrayal by Max Burchett

by Maxwell Burchett Only those completely trusted, Can completely betray. Trust gained at great cost, The one treasure once lost That can never be recovered. Betrayal leaves a stain, A shadow on the heart. Trust once lost, rarely regained. Never to return, faith and trust depart.

This is heartfelt... Time heals, but does not forget. Moving forward with lessons learned, gaining new memories help fade the pain. Nicely written, Ed

I agree, Max, betrayal leaves such a stain on a relationship. This was a beautiful lyrical poem that powerfully states the consequences of betrayal...faith and trust depart! Well done, sir. enjoy your evening, Sara
