Betrayal:

Father can you hear me,
My heart is aching
It feels like its raining
The pain is overflowing
My head is bursting
My soul is calling
My babies are crying
Father can you hear me
There are Fatherless once again
A covenant made, a covenant betrayed
Lust, greed, deceit and pain
I can’t bear the shame
I only hear the rain as it beats against my window pane
This soul of mines feels exhausted and drained
These pillows are soaked and forever stained
Sorrow and tears are my new name
Was I born to be broken and torn, battered and defeated
He said, he loved me, He said, he cared
He swore, he would never leave me
But his words were false and his promises were all in vain
Father can you hear me, on my bending knees calling out your name
Release me please,
Give me some ease
So I can cease this pain and be free.
