Betrayal

We were colorful birds Shared some beautiful memories together But when jealousy crawled silently next to you Selfishness wrote messages on your face And insecurity became your usual vocabulary I stole the stars to make you happy Even the moon smiled at our friendship But you misguided my peace Buried me beneath the earth crust And offered some strokes against my heart I called you "Friend" But you came like a snake Hissing day and night Searching for a prey to devour You naked me when I thought of being clothed
