Bethlehem Summons

Tiny Gift of love supernal, Shepherd of our souls eternal; Summon saints to heed the call To share His birth with one and all. Let full surrender be our goal Whereby we steadfast, surely grow. Mature the young and wounded saints Who too ‘oft drink where sin doth taint. Deliver hearts of hardened places To tenderness and pardon’s graces. Let servants rise as pride doth fall When Christians heed the Infant’s call. Journey there to kneel, to know This friend who made the stable glow. Be reverent and earnest there To meet your Maker, humbled…fair. Hear the summons, know His glory Let the manger tell the story Where God and man were reconciled And death fell conquered by a Child.
