Besties

We can get together after twenty-five years
And pick up as if we saw each other yesterday
Laughing and smiling, joking, loving each other
Remembering the enthusiasm and joy of our youth
Retelling stories we have both heard fifty times
Laughing with mirth understood only by best friends

Thank you Demetrios. I appreciate it. I have picked up the phone after forty years and laughed my heart out with an old friend.
