Best Things

The best things in life
                                                still truly are free
                                                though so many 
                                                people fail to see
                                                or, stop to smell
                                                the roses.

                                                Life truly is sweet and,
                                                so very fleeting
                                                it's passing you all
                                                by people hurry, 
                                                it's leaving.

                                                Everyone's so caught up
                                                so self absorbed    
                                                in the I, I me, me
                                                syndrome. 
                                                It's sad, it's disturbing,     
                                                it troubles the soul
                                                and, I just 
                                                think you all need
                                                to know.
. 
                                                What happen to
                                                integrity, random
                                                acts of kindness?
                                                Do unto others as
                                                you would have
                                                done unto thy self.
 
                                                Love thy neighbor
                                                as thyself
                                                Goodwill to mankind  
                                                appears to be going 
                                                to hell,                                                 

                                                                                                                                               
                                                .
