Best of Friends
Compassion is what we seek;
there is no middle ground when we
take risks in falling
or rising in the face of this journey
we strive to heap.
Dear friend, feel the power and chaste
of loyalty too deep,
taste its blows, sugar and tears
no matter what.
There is no middle ground,
that middle is indifference---
it can be so cold and sad.
