Best Friends
I tried to help you
and you pushed me away
I tried to comfort you
and you yelled and hit me
I tried to make sure
that we would both win
but when I won
and you didn't
You got angry
and I didn't know
what to do
because you were in a rage
You claim my life is perfect
You think I have it all
You believe that I know
what I'm doing
But I don't
And in truth my life
is a disaster
slowly falling apart
while my best friend leaves me
Our friendship has broken
and I don't think
that this time
we can put it back together
again
