Best Friend
She had a boyfriend
And I had a girlfriend.
We was just good friends.
Chilling at football games.
My senior year it was not the
same.
I was single and she was too.
She said she liked me and I said I
like you.
But I had my mind on these other
two.
I didn't know what to do.
I would tell her that I love her.
I did but I didn't want her.
I broke her heart some many
times.
She always had me in her heart
and mind.
Summer came along.
We look like we belong.
In August she went to the city,
she was sick and I felt her pain.
The whole week I prayed.
In September we dated.
A month later she faded.
29 was the day I lost my girl
friend and my best friend.
She loved my poems, she was my
number one fan-Mario Perez
