Beside Still Waters
Beside Still Waters
Beside still waters you refresh my soul
After crossing the desert, you renew my thirsty heart
Beside your still waters I will find a cooling shade
In your aspen grove washed by gentle rains.
I come to your quiet waters nourished by your love
In the shadow of morning I find I am renewed.
When I go down into your waters I rise up anew
As the dawning day - fresh as morning dew.
Then you give me living waters. I will never thirst again.
I praise you for this new life flowing from your wellspring!
Abiding by your still waters in your meadows green
I rest at midday, sheltered 'neath your wings serene
You lead me to still waters bidding me to sit with you
Abide in your embrace to rest at your peaceful pool.
Then you give me living waters. I will never thirst again.
I praise you for this new life flowing from your well spring.
