Berthe Morisots -The cradle

veiled innocence
gazing charm

     rich rewarding
     motherhood

watching aware
unaware

    surprising calm
    gladdened too

receipt of pain
gift from Lord

     'The cradle' -
     rocks any mother

Ah, I just googled and viewed this wonderful painting which I hadn't known before. I like your short, impactful stanzas. Motherhood rocks!
