Bent Over Town

Woody structures
balance along the wind
gusts make the town
seem empty

No gas at the station
where to go?

One dreamer might fly
with its wings
bent over the town
in the blue sky

Desperate and full of dust
lies the town
wind is the only visitor
but once in a while…

Skies change their color
and a man flies
like a bullet
with its wings
bent over town

People recognize
the flying man
as the Town Lord
who brings
a bright blue sky
over town

I like this very much. Who is the man you write of? This man of mystery that brings blue light to the skies.

Thank you very much for your nice words! :) I don't know too who he is. Just know that he flies high in these blue skies.

Although I am not sure I understood some of it, I really liked this poem, Vasco. It was almost like an ekphrasis on "town," but then it sort of shifted like the wind, "the only visitor." Nice work.

Thank you so much L Milton! I really appreciate your words! Yes indeed I like the contrast between the town and this Great flying man
