Benign Bliss Burn
Line of Inquiry: In form polarities merge in the heart
The distant sun glows through the clouds
on a November day as if a candle in a room
I feel vibes of someone I once loved
She’s now, elsewhere in another town
I am the sun
I am the clouds
a chorus of word unsaid
This is my time I say A cat lies at the top
of the stairs as my well-lived life plays
in my mind Downstairs a housemate sleeps
and I find it is hard to live with someone
I am stillness of the morning
I am the story waiting to be told
the day that lingers outside the door
A voice says I have lived many lives
It says I have many more left inside
The tragedies and joys of years linger
the woman in college who was there for me
My heart bears memories
the friends with me in spirit
a moment of silence so loud
that trees outside whisper
as leaves turned color
rustle in gusts of wind
