Benediction

Can you hear
  the little clock
Persistent tick
  relentless tock

It eats away
  at your life's blood
First a trickle
  then a flood

Now it's done
  with its last meal
In its hands
  your grace is sealed

Thank YOU, Richard, for noticing AND for making me aware that such a category even exists. (I had no idea whatsoever). Much appreciated. Best wishes, Gershon

This is a gem! "little clock" sounds sweet and innocent... but then that second stanza... and the last comes in like DONG! Yes, this is a FAVE!

Thank you so much for the FAVE on this one... I was thinking that I haven't drawn a FAVE from anyone for a long time. (Tick - tock). LOL... Greatly appreciated! Best wishes, Gershon

I wrote a little clock poem today, but I have no idea where I put it. Like minds? A sweet little poem that made the sounds of a clock in my mind, Gershon.

At least you and I are 'working on the clock.' (LOL). Thank you for the encouragement, Caren! :) gw
